We use no cookies at all
This is neither a pun nor an omission: https://matricacheck.hu sets no cookie
whatsoever. What we store lives in your browser’s local storage
(localStorage), which differs in that it never travels to the server with
any request — it stays on your own device until you clear it.
The applicable rules (Act C of 2003 on electronic communications, and the GDPR) apply to local storage just as they do to cookies. That is why we ask, and why the decision can be reversed at any time.
What exactly we store

That is the complete list. It contains no tracking identifier, no advertising identifier, and none of these values is capable of identifying you.
The three categories
- Necessary — the chosen theme and the fact of your consent. No tracking is involved, and the site is unusable without them, so they cannot be switched off. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest.
- Functional — remembering the vehicle category, the trailer flag and the fuel choice. Written only with your consent. Everything works without them; you just start from scratch on each visit.
- Analytics — anonymous traffic measurement, see below. Only with your consent.
If you say no, or withdraw your consent, functional values already stored are deleted immediately.
The ?kat=, ?potkocsi= and ?uz= parameters of shareable links are not
storage but the content of the link itself: they apply without consent, since
otherwise a result you send would show the recipient something different from
what you saw.
Traffic measurement
Traffic is measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It uses no cookies and no local storage, does not fingerprint, and introduces no additional processor: Cloudflare is the site’s hosting provider, so the request passes through it anyway.
Even so, the measurement code starts only with your analytics consent: until
it is switched on, the measurement script sits on the page as a text/plain
data block and not a single line of it runs.
There is no Google Analytics on this site, and none is planned.
Withdrawing consent
The Cookie settings button at the bottom of the page reopens the choice at any time — withdrawing is exactly as easy as giving consent was.
